Alison Mertz is an award-winning Long Island, New York educator with over 20 years of experience specializing in grammar instruction, literary analysis, and standardized test preparation for the SAT. She holds a Master’s degree in English with a focus on literature and writing and is certified in English Language Arts for grades 7–12. Her expertise in grammar is complemented by a passion for literary excellence. Alison’s dedication to student achievement extends to creative writing, where she has been awarded a National Educator Gold Medal from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
